Pat Brownell

Patricia Brownell, PhD, is Associate Professor Emerita of Social Service at Fordham University in New York City and Emerita Scholar, Ravazzin Center on Aging. Dr. Brownell is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (INPEA) and  served as consultant to the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) for an Expert Group Meeting on Neglect, Abuse and Violence Against Older Women. She is Past President of the State Society on Aging of New York, Past President of the National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, National Association of Social Workers’ Pioneer,  and current member of the Ohio State Attorney General’s Commission on Elder Abuse, Committee on Research.
